In We Hope You Like This Song, I told the story about how I attached a dollar to a bunch of valentines and littered them all over the city. I wrote our blog address on the back of each one along with this message: "Hi Stranger. Buy a pop on me." We received the following blog comment from "Bertha" the next day:
Well, hello there to you too, stranger. I had the pleasure of finding your card on the train seat. It made my night. I don't drink pop but had a lovely cup of coffee on you. It was so sweet and I am glad that lovely people like you are out there in the world.
I later found out that Bertha is a man who dresses as a woman and teaches cooking classes. Is there anything better than that?! It was one of my favorite days of 52Resolutions.
ALSO...I'm doing a reading/signing event tonight at City Lit Books in Chicago! You're invited. And your friends are invited. Plus, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS INVITED!!!
Would love to see some pretty faces in the audience. It helps me read mo' better.
See you tonight!
